there's no greater bond then that of a mother and her child;
a love that surpassed death itself.
an urge to keep the child safe
safe from the ills of the world
safe in her arms
forever.
=kevissimo's work played a big part in the inspiration and feel of this piece, it may not be noticeable to you, but it is to me; he is a great artisy; you should check his work.
The scar on the childs face doesnt feel 100%, just the blending with how consistant it is along with the contrast on the face. Other than that, frighteningly loveable.
I really can see his work flowing in this, because of the textures and his tendency to use more older models (medieval and prior) than modern and this is an excellent piece to look at, keep up the good work!

i see what you mean about that... i tried to edit it a few times since your comment, and yea.. psp doesnt like the size of the file.. 2000+x3000+ it lags like a mofo..
hmmm, I like the message it conveys. and I must say, dispite the fact that i normally would have been just a bit freaked out by something like this, I'm really not... I think i'm getting used to your style (:
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
